Smith seeking re-election to Cave City City Council

Tammy Smith is seeking re-election to the Cave City City Council, Ward 3, Position 2, according to a press release from the campaign.

A native of Cave City, Smith has completed a two-year term on the council and prior to being elected to her current position served as the city council clerk for over two years.

Smith is a graduate of Cave City High School and has lived in the area for 50 years. She has been a member of the Cave City Kiwanis Club for four years and currently serves as secretary for that organization. Smith completed her associate of applied science degree in medical office management in 2016 at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, where she has been employed for 17 years.

“I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to serve on the city council, and I am proud of the accomplishments that our city leaders have made in our community,” said Smith in the release. “If re-elected to the city council, I will continue to work with my fellow council members for the betterment of our community.”

Smith and her husband of 39 years, Jerry, have two children and six grandchildren.

Voting will open Nov. 6.
