Brittney Carlson, a Batesville West Elementary School art teacher of two years, was one of five winners for the Parsons-Burnett Scholarship Grant. There were a total of 29 applicants. Carlson had to write an essay and also talk about the college courses she is taking in pursuing her master’s degree.
