Here are the early voting numbers for the counties of Independence, Stone, and Izard through 10:30 a.m. today (Nov. 5):
Independence County: 4,873 early votes
Stone County: 2,134 early votes
Izard County: 1,772 early votes
Independence County County Clerk Tracy Mitchell tells White River Now the county’s early votes will be just under 50 percent of the total vote if this year’s turnout is about the same as 2014.
In Stone County, this year’s total of 2,134 is just about the same as the 2014 total of 2,241. And that number will be closer to 30 percent of the total vote if it mirrors 2014.
