Batesville runner places first in Missouri trail run

Jonathan Dorris, 37, of Batesville, recently placed first overall male in The North Face 15K/25K Challenge, as part of the Dogwood Canyon Trail Run held Nov. 10 and 11 in Lampe, Mo., according to Springfield Fit Life magazine.

Dorris, the owner of National State Running in Batesville, is retired from the United States Army and owns Natural State Running in Batesville. He placed second overall male last year and accomplished his mission of returning this year to take first overall male with a 15K time of one hour, 14 minutes and 21 seconds, and a time of two hours, 20 minutes and 28 seconds in the 25K.
