cuffs-22

A Mountain View woman faces four felony and three Class A misdemeanor charges involving the possession and use of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The charges came last Wednesday against 37-year-old Rebecca Diane Avey when she was stopped on a traffic violation, and Officer Cody Lee noticed a heavy smell of marijuana was coming from her vehicle, according to authorities.

In the vehicle, officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, and four pieces of drug paraphernalia. Avey is also charged with DWI-drugs and refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Avey is in custody and has been placed on a $20,000 bond.
