The 2018 Lyon College Furry Frenzy Toy Toss, which benefits the United Way’s Angel Tree program, putting Christmas gifts in the hands of children less fortunate, has been set. The event will take place in James C. Becknell Gymnasium during the Lyon College men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The Scots will welcome American Midwest Conference opponent Williams Baptist to Becknell Gymnasium on Tuesday night with the women’s game set to open the twin bill at 5:30 p.m. The men’s game will follow against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will gain entrance to the games for free if they bring a new stuffed toy to toss when the Lyon women’s team scores its first points of the game- that’s when the fur will fly.

The West Magnet dance team will also perform during halftime of both games.

There will be games, giveaways and much, much more on that night for both contests. Start making plans now to come to the event, enjoy a great night of basketball and help children in Independence County have a Merry Christmas this year.
