In a recent session of Stone County Circuit Court, eight people were sentenced to probation or suspended sentences along with fines while three men were sentenced to terms in state prison along with fines.
Two men were sentenced to 48 months each in regional lockups. 31-year-old Clayton Wade Stevens entered a negotiated plea of guilty to three counts: residential burglary, breaking or entering, and theft of property. In addition to prison time, Stevens was fined $1,500 plus court costs. Stevens was given credit for spending 308 days in jail before his plea.

The other man sentenced to 48 months in a regional lockup was 23-year-old Jesse Lane Sears. He entered a negotiated plea of guilty to three counts: residential burglary, breaking or entering, and theft of property. Sears was also fined $1,500 plus court costs. In addition, he was given credit for spending 180 days in jail before his plea.

Both men were ordered by Judge Tim Weaver to have no contact with their victim or the victim’s immediate family.
Thirty-six months of jail time in a regional lockup along with a fine was the sentence for 44-year-old Matthew E. Reinholt. Reinholt entered a negotiated plea of guilty to two drug counts: possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia to use methamphetamine. He was also fined $1,500 plus court costs and given credit for 34 days spent in jail awaiting his court date.
