Giving Tuesday was a big success for the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches (ASYR). Citizens Bank and White River Now teamed to help raise funds for ASYR at the bank’s main branch, and according to Matt Cleveland, ASYR chief development officer, yesterday’s final tally was one for the record books.
Over the past three Giving Tuesdays (2015, 2016, 2017), a total of $58,370 from 186 donations was raised, according to Cleveland. This year alone, the total raised was $43,938 from more than 125 donations.
ASYR thanked all on social media who gave on Giving Tuesday. The organization also gave thanks “…to Citizens Bank and our community partners who provided matching funds to encourage giving, and to White River Now for helping us spread the word about this special day of giving.”

And, don’t forget, actor Judge Reinhold will be in Batesville, Sunday, Dec. 2, to screen Disney’s The Santa Clause for an ASYR fundraiser. (For more info on that event, click here.) Reinhold — who in addition to The Santa Clause, has appeared in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Ruthless People, and Seinfeld — is a supporter of ASYR.
