The Old Independence Regional Museum in Batesville held its annual Docent Appreciation Lunch today. All volunteers were honored. Those serving more than 50 hours were awarded the President of the United States Volunteer Service Award which is the premier volunteer awards program encouraging citizens to live a life of service.

The Lifetime Service Award is for more than 4,000 hours, and this has been attained by Twyla Wright (top picture) and Sharan Pittser (second picture).
