LISTEN: UACCB’s Frazier and Thornburg discuss, m-pact, the a cappella vocal group performing Friday at UACCB

Deborah Frazier, chancellor at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB), joined Greg Thornburg, UACCB’s vice chancellor for student affairs, in the White River Now studios this morning to discuss tomorrow night’s performance from the a cappella vocal group, m-pact, at Independence Hall on the campus of UACCB. The group will present “White Christmas,” a special holiday performance, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Hailed as “one of the best pop-jazz vocal groups in the world” by the San Francisco Chronicle, m-pact is a Los-Angeles-based a capella vocal group respected worldwide. In 2014, m-pact joined forces with a cappella powerhouse Duwende to produce “I Wish For All Time,” an a capella tribute to the music of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, which they have performed in sold-out theaters across the U.S. The group has also performed with a capella sensations Pentatonix and The Filharmonic.
