A suspect in a shooting death on Jan. 1 in Jonesboro has been taken into custody.
Authorities say Markus Gentry, 29, of Blytheville was located around 8:30 p.m. on the night of Jan. 1 at a residence in south Jonesboro. He was taken into custody without incident, according to the Jonesboro Police Department.
Gentry is a suspect in the shooting death of Lewis C. Gamble, 35, of Jonesboro who succumbed to the gunshot wounds at a Jonesboro hospital.
Police say Gentry will be taken before a judge for probable cause and bond hearing on the charges of murder in the first degree and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
