Mountain View City Council to meet tonight

The Mountain View City Council meets tonight. The council will address several budget items and hear about the Jimmy Driftwood Statue and U.S. Census Bureau jobs.

There will be four budgets before the aldermen:  The City of Mountain View, Water and Sewer, the Water Plant, the Airport Commission and the Sales and Use Tax Bond.

The councilmen will also hear about job recruiting by the U.S. Census Bureau for office and in-field positions to conduct the 2020 census.

The council will also reaffirm board member appointments and terms for the Ozark Folk Cultural Center Commission.

The Mountain View City Council meets tonight, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. at Central Fire Station.  City council meetings are open to the public.
