UPDATE, 3:15 p.m.: A reader of White River Now’s Facebook account posted a picture taken near the scene (below) and noted authorities were trying to route traffic away from the area.
UPDATE, 3:45 p.m.: White River Now’s Gary B. recently arrived about 500 yards from the scene and reported smoke was still rising from the building. Initial reports have one man injured. He was taken to White River Medical Center where he was then transferred via med-flight to Little Rock. We’ll have more updates on this story as they become available.

Social media and scanner traffic bring word of an explosion at a business on Kyler Road in Independence County. Unconfirmed reports note area fire departments are on the scene at Rob Roberts Custom Gun Works at 775 Kyler Rd., and at least one person has been injured. White River Now has reached out to the Independence County Sheriff’s Department who are apparently on the scene, and we will report any new information as soon as it develops.
