The Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) is reporting the skeletal remains found on the south side of the city in a wooded area south of Interstate 555 close to the Southside Softball Complex in November of 2018 have been identified. (Read the original story here.)

The remains have been identified as James Doyle Murray, 47, of Jonesboro. Murray was reported missing on July 7, 2013, by his mother, according to a JPD release. Positive identification was confirmed by the Arkansas State Crime Lab located in Little Rock.

Since Murray was reported missing in 2013, authorities have worked over the years on the case until closing it today. However, there is another missing person case from the area. Lisa Ann Prescott, 53, was last seen Aug. 31, 2018. The front door to her Jonesboro home was unlocked, and her cell phone and purse were still in the home.
