The Independence County Democrats committee met Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Independence County Library in Batesville. The committee elected new officers for the 2019-2020 political cycle. The new officers, pictured below, are, from left: Shannon Hix, chair; Nisha Viswanathan, vice chair; Bruce Oakley, secretary; Andrey Abramov, treasurer; and Andrew Lane, parliamentarian. Also pictured, far right, is Randy Seale. Seale was elected by the county party as the Democratic representative for the Independence County Election Commission.
