Fowler named recipient of the Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers Scholarship at Lyon College

Lyon College junior Linda Fowler has been named the recipient of the Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers Scholarship. The scholarship benefits a full-time student pursuing a major or minor in biology, with preference given to one whose cumulative grade point average is 3.0 or higher and who participates in the Arkansas Game & Fish Stream Team, if possible.

Fowler is majoring in biology and chemistry and minoring in physics. She is currently the leader for supplemental instruction in chemistry and a member of the honor council. She is also a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society and Chi Beta Phi National Science Honorary.

Hailing from Sherwood, Fowler is a sister of the Chi Omicron sorority and volunteers at the Sherwood Public Library. She was nominated by the biology faculty for her academic achievement, interest in pursuing graduate education, and her interest in environmental research.
