At the end of this school year, Mountain View Public School System Superintendent, Rowdy Ross is retiring. He informed the board earlier this year, and at their last meeting, the school board announced a new man will take over as superintendent upon Ross’s retirement: Brent Howard.

“It’s a great place to work,” Howard told White River Now’s Gary B. “I’m super excited, and I am very grateful to have the opportunity.”

Howard said Ross is a superintendent who has broad support and respect throughout the district.

“He is a super guy, super mentor, boss, friend, and I couldn’t ask for better. With Mr. Ross, you’re going to hear that clear across the board from everyone you speak to, I promise you,” said Howard.

Howard will assume his duties as superintendent at the end of this school year.
