Pioneers have solid showing in Heber Springs relays


The Batesville Pioneers had a solid performance in yesterday’s relay events at Heber Springs, with both the senior boys and girls placing second in overall team totals behind Vilonia.

Pioneer Kadar Floyd placed first in the boys long jump with a distance of 20 feet, 9 inches, while Jackson Beck, Ryan Sinele, Will Storlie, and Floyd nabbed the top spot in the 4×100 meter relay.

The Batesville senior girls saw Jalise Stewart (pictured) coming in first in both the girls 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash while Taylor Griffin placed first in the girls triple jump.
