The Southerners defeated Bald Knob on March 25 with a final score of 5-1.
Kyle Long got the win on the mound and Cole Langston recorded the save.
The Southerners had 5 runs on 8 hits with no errors. Cole Langston had two hits with a big 2 run home run in the fifth inning.
Will Sitkowski also had two hits on the night. Payton Walls, Caden Huskey, Jared Ganus and Blayne Bufford also had hits in the game.
Kyle Long made his first start on the mound for the Southerners this year going 4 2/3 innings giving up one run and recording the win. Cole Langston pitched the final 2 1/3 innings while not allowing a hit and striking out five.
The Southerners return to conference play March 26 at Westside starting at 4:30 p.m.
