A Stone County man has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with theft by receiving after leaving a stolen vehicle at a Mountain View residence.

The vehicle in question is a 2003 Ford F-350 truck, valued at $14,000, that was stolen out of Texas. The truck was left by Joshua David Whitworth, 33, at a Mountain View residence in November 2018, according to court documents. The owner of the residence decided to report the truck to police as possibly stolen. After authorities ran the truck’s VIN, the vehicle was confirmed as being reported stolen.

The court information says Whitworth is currently in custody in Harris County, Tex.

A bond has been set in the case at $10,000.
