Batesville man charged with two counts of computer exploitation of child in second degree

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old Batesville man accused of a child sex crime.

Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kellye Barber has charged Dylan W. Densmore with two counts of computer exploitation of a child in the second degree.

The Independence County Circuit Court information said on or about the months of February and March of this year, Densmore did unlawfully photograph or film a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The charge is a Class C felony.

The court documents said a male and female, both under the age of 18, were engaged in sexual acts at Densmore’s residence, and Densmore, as a third person, filmed the acts.

The court information went on to say that Densmore, after acknowledging his legal rights as explained to him by officers with the sheriff’s department officers, provided a statement.

The court record said in that statement, Densmore admitted to filming the couple, and the videos and images were on his phone and iCloud up until April 1.

It was then he deleted the media due to learning authorities were investigating the incident.

A bond has been set in the case at $10,000.
