BJHS student places first in ASU art exhibition

Among 322 entries, Batesville Junior High School (BJHS) art student Lauren Ramsey (pictured) received a first place ribbon in the eighth-grade division for her artwork, “Maleficent,” in the art exhibition, “Through a Child’s Eyes,” at Arkansas State University on Sunday, April 7.

In addition to Ramsey, fellow students Rachel Garcia, Jayla Cole, McKenzie Treat, and Ainsley Stolarik were selected to represent BJHS for the exhibition. All have artwork on display until April 30 at the Arkansas State University Museum.
