This year, the Arkansas Scholars program celebrates 25 years of proudly recognizing qualifying graduates on their outstanding accomplishments.

Every year, the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville hosts a banquet and ceremony for the graduating Arkansas Scholars from area school districts.

A publication is also released showcasing the 166 graduates from Batesville, Cave City, Cedar Ridge, Concord, Midland, and Southside High Schools. This publication is view-able under our “Community” tab.

Arkansas Scholars must achieve the following goals from grade nine through 12 to earn the Arkansas Scholar recognition and scholarship.

  • Achieve a 95% or better attendance record
  • Make semester grades of “C” or above in all academic courses
  • Take recommended classes to prepare for post-secondary education
  • Complete high school in eight consecutive semesters

Congratulations to the Class of 2019 Arkansas Scholars from all of us at White River Now.
