A Stone County woman has been charged with possessing illegal drugs.

Mountain View Police Department officers were looking for the suspect, Allyssa Grace Price (pictured), 20, of Herpel Road, after she allegedly tried to swap marijuana for insulin needles. The Stone County Circuit Court information says authorities were notified on April 17 that Price had contacted a juvenile with diabetes about possibly trading marijuana for the needles. Police were then given a description of the vehicle Price was driving. (The affidavit of probable cause for arrest noted the juvenile is a Type 1 diabetic and did not supply Price with any needles.)

Later, Price was stopped for traffic violations, and officers then found marijuana and methamphetamine in her vehicle, according to the affidavit.

Price is now charged with felony possession of meth and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana.

Her bond has been set at $50,000.
