BREAKING: Concord Schools reporting a gun-related death of student on campus; no other students were near at time of incident


Concord School District parents are reporting they have received a call from the school confirming that today after lunch a high school student died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

No students were around when the incident occurred, according to the recorded message from the district’s superintendent, Dr. Michael Davidson.

The school will remain closed Thursday and Friday. Counselors will be available when class resumes on Monday, April 29.
