An Independence County man has had his probation revoked and has been charged with two drug-related felonies.
The Independence County Circuit Court information says Bryan Herring, 30, while on probation, committed the felony offense of possession of more than 14 grams of a Schedule VI controlled substance, namely marijuana. While on probation he also associated with a convicted felon, failed to report to circuit court as directed, had five unexcused absences from drug court counseling, and was ordered to pay court costs and fines totaling $2,641.20 to the court in regular monthly payments and has failed to do so. He was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work within one year of his plea agreement on March 6, 2018, and has not completed this special condition.
As a result of all these actions or inactions, his probation has been revoked, and Herring is charged with furnishing prohibited articles into jail, and possession of a controlled substance — both felonies.
Herring is in custody and has been refused bonding, according to court info.
