One of the reporting requirements of a convicted sex offender is to inform law enforcement if he (she) is working at a job, and where.
An Independence County Circuit Court filing says Thomas Lynn Fears II did not do that.
The court record said Fears was working at an Independence County business and did not inform the sheriff’s department as required by law. Fears, according to the record, has been convicted of sexual abuse in the third degree in the state of Oregon, and he told local authorities he did not like to be known as a sex offender to the public and did not want to have to tell his employer.
Fears was placed in jail and put on a bond of $7,500 by Judge Chaney Taylor.
