Planning has been underway for months in advance for the festival.You will enjoy the iris blooms and the friendly hospitality of our residents in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.
Live music will fill the air both nights of the festival. The courthouse stage will feature a band Friday night and a street dance is scheduled for Saturday night.
The Carousel Organ Association of America will be on hand both Friday and Saturday, during daytime hours to share the “happy music” of small and larger size carousel organs.
Festival patrons may attend the Mountain View Iris Society Iris Show and Photo Contest and Iris tours. Pick up a map and information at the Mountain View Iris Festival Welcome Center.
Lights will be turned on to showcase the many beautiful blooms on the evening iris tour.
Irises may be purchased at the festival. You may purchase one of many varieties at the Mountain View Iris Society tent. Irises will be for sale at the Mountain View Iris Festival Office and Garden Center across the street from Mountain View City Hall.
Mountain View iris have a beautiful backdrop in our historic Stone County Courthouse and historic downtown area.
Come enjoy the iris festival and venture out to experience the “Folk Music Capital of the World.”
The Mountain View, Stone County area has an abundance of natural resources and visitors will be delighted by the beautiful White River where trout fishing is a favorite outdoor activity, along with kayaking, hiking, bike riding, and beautiful campsites.
