Corey Thomas Ensign (pictured), 32, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to five drug-related charges including simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

In addition to 60-months in prison, Ensign was assessed a fine and court costs by Judge Tim Weaver totaling $2395.00.

The amount was ordered to be paid at a rate of $100 a month starting immediately after he is released from prison.

Another ruling in Stone County Circuit Court, charges against Walter Jenkins were dropped or actually not processed in court.

The state prosecutor said the State could not meet its burden of proof in the case. Jenkins was facing two charges: Forgery in the First Degree and Theft of Property.
