Thursday, May 16, West Magnet Elementary of the Batesville School District hosted a 5k Water Gun Run/Walk to raise funds to benefit a new school playground.
92 runners participated plus 70 kids ran. The fundraising events contributed $3,697 to the playground fund.
“Thank you to our community for helping support the West Elementary playground turf, we are one step closer to creating a new fun space for our students to enjoy!”, a post on the school’s Facebook page said.
