Reserve deputy training begins in June for the Stone County Sheriff’s Department


Stone County Chief Deputy Sheriff Zach Alexander said the department is seeking applicants for its Reserve Deputy Training Program.

Training start Monday, June 10 and goes through August 6. Classes will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. each week.

Applicants must be of good character, able to pass a background check and physical fitness assessment.

Applications are available at the Stone County Sheriff’s Department, 1009 Sheriff’s Lane in Mountain View.
