A North Little Rock man was killed yesterday morning on Arkansas Highway 167 near Velvet Ridge after his vehicle crossed the center line and into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
According to the Arkansas State Police Fatal Crash Summary, Orbin Rene Rodriguez Lopez, 25, of North Little Rock, was driving his 2008 Pontiac Solstice north on 167 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an Isuzu truck driven by Jonathan Warren, 27, of Conway.
Warren was reported injured and transported to a White County hospital. Trooper Drew Pannell’s summary noted the weather was clear, and the road condition was dry at the time of the accident.
The accident temporarily caused the closing of the highway.
