HEADS UP: Road closures scheduled for all day Thursday around Harrison and 20th intersection

harrison-and-20th-2

A major Batesville intersection will have some surrounding streets closed all day tomorrow as workers perform electrical work on the site’s traffic signals. Officials tell White River Now, weather permitting, the intersection of Harrison and 20th streets will be affected by the work, and the traffic signal will be non-functioning all day.

On 20th Street, one block on either side of Harrison Street will be closed, so if a driver turns off Harrison Street onto 20th Street to head to the Batesville Community Center or Meyers Avenue, they’ll find the street blocked and will need to take an appropriate turn before or after 20th. And drivers on 20th Street heading to turn onto Harrison will also need to be aware of the closings — which are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. Thursday.
