The state department of health has issued a “Boil Water Notice” for the entire Fifty-Six water system.
The notice was issued due to the “possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of partial loss in normal system pressure.”
The notice advises customers of the Fifty-Six water system that the water may be unsafe for human consumption and should be boiled for one-minute prior to use for drinking or food preparation.
