The Associated Press is reporting there’s a new judge in the case involving the death of former Sen. Linda Collins.
Retired Circuit Judge David Goodson was named by Arkansas Supreme Court Chief Justice John Dan Kemp to take over the case after the presiding judge, Harold Erwin, requested a reassignment. The AP notes Kemp’s order does not state why Erwin requested the reassignment.
Becky Lynn O’Donnell has been charged with capital murder in the case involving Collins. The former legislator was found dead in early June outside her home in Pocahontas. (Click here for more on the death of Collins.)
