First Community Bank and White River Now are proud to honor our area’s unsung heroes for the differences they make in our community. Each month, a nominee will be selected from all entries.
The winner receives $100 from First Community Bank to continue their efforts, as well as a plaque commemorating their endeavors to make someone’s life better in our region.
June 2019 “One for All” recipient is Samera Orrantia.
Samera will be a sophomore at Hillcrest High school in the fall and is continuously going out of her way to help others.
“Samera has a big heart. Whenever she hears about a need, she works to find a way to help. She is an asset to our community,” stated her nomination form.
Orrantia aspires to become a biomedical engineer and is currently taking concurrent courses through UACCB to work towards her goal.
Samera is also heavily involved in multiple school organizations including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Beta Club and Student Council.
