According to the Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary from the Arkansas State Police, at approximately 9:44 p.m. a male, minor attempted to cross Highway 167, north of Batesville.
The pedestrian was struck by a white, 2018 GMC Sierra traveling southbound.
The pedestrian, a minor, was fatally injured and transported to White River Medical Center in Batesville where he was later pronounced deceased.
Arkansas State Police are currently investigating this incident.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
The report note it was raining and the road was wet at the time of the accident.
