LISTEN: Mayor’s comment during Batesville City Council meeting this week called for city and county to meet

During this week’s Batesville city council meeting, Mayor Rick Elumbaugh commented on a resolution that was just unanimously passed calling for a meeting with the county to discuss and settle differences in funding of the district court, jail, and recycling. Recently, Independence County Judge Robert Griffin said a meeting was fine as long as an agenda was drawn up that spells out the topics to be discussed and followed so that progress can be made.
