Stolen White County truck traced to Independence County residence via GPS

The White County Sheriff’s Department received a Global Positioning System (GPS) fix earlier this week from a possible stolen vehicle from White County, according to authorities. The GPS said it was located on Cee Jay Lane in Independence County.

When Deputy Jordan Harder arrived at the location and saw the vehicle, a white Ford F-250. A man near the vehicle seemed to be washing it.

Harder, during an investigation, found that there was another man at the scene who was apparently connected to the vehicle along with the other individual. He then informed White County of their information.

Harder put a “hold” on the vehicle for White County and had it towed from the scene.
