A Stone County Deputy was shot and killed this morning in an incident in the 2000 block of Flag Road in the very southwestern part of Stone County, near the Van Buren County line.
Apparently, the officer was investigating a domestic disturbance. Sources say a man involved in the dispute was also shot and killed. Those close to the situation say a woman was also injured and taken for hospital care.
Special agents of the Arkansas State Police Investigative Division have been called in to investigate the shooting.
State Police say as more facts are gathered and next-of-kin are notified, more information will be released.

Two individuals are dead and one wounded in what is believed to be a law enforcement officer-involved shooting incident. One of the deceased is a Stone County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division have been requested to investigate the incident which occurred in southwest Stone County near the Van Buren County line.
