Stone County man arrested after struggle during domestic incident call

A Stone County Sheriff’s Deputy was knocked out of his shoes during a struggle during a call on Tuesday.

During a domestic incident on July 16 on Herpel Road, John Kristopher Kuykendall (pictured), 30, allegedly fought officers and was taken into custody. The Stone County Circuit Court information said the struggle was so intense that Lt. Dammon McGilton was “knocked out of his shoes,” according to court records.

Kuykendall is charged with felony aggravated assault, along with two misdemeanors: second-degree assault on a family member and resisting arrest.
