BAAC to hold reception for Summer Art Camp exhibit

Students who took part in creating art at the Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC)’s Summer Art Camp this year learned about artists Johannes Vermeer, Edgar Degas, Frida Kahlo, Georges Seurat, and Leonardo Da Vinci.

Camp participants created projects inspired by these artists using a variety of art techniques with instructor Morgun Henson and BAAC summer intern Lillian Osier.

Their work is now featured in an exhibition at BAAC’s Gallery on Main at 226 E Main St. through Aug. 10.

A gallery reception for the 2019 Kids Art Exhibition will be held on Friday, Aug. 2 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Exhibiting students will be awarded with exhibition certificates starting at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
