An Independence County woman has been arrested and charged in Circuit Court after being caught in possession of methamphetamine.
Dillon Sallas, a Batesville Police Department Narcotics Officer, made a traffic stop on White Drive, Tuesday night after a violation was made by the driver.
The driver, Rochelle Morris, 62, and passengers were acting suspicious which caused Sallas to investigate and find a small glass jar from Morris’ purse that contained methamphetamine.
Morris was placed under arrest and charged with a felony drug charge. Her bond was set at $5,000.
