The 76th Annual Tommy Clark – Royce Varnell – Ernie Daniel White River Bass Classic was held Saturday, Aug. 10 on the White River.
Anglers were able to launch at any public ramp anywhere on the White River.
The tournament is a fund raiser for scholarships and the clubs year end classic from funds raised by donations and entry fees for the tournament.
This years event provided three $750 cash scholarships and guaranteed a $1000 first place prize for the team that had the highest weight of a five fish limit.
$350 big bass bonus was also donated by Domino’s of Batesville for the angler weighing in the largest bass while wearing their Domino’s hat that was available for purchase at time of registration. The tournament had 46 teams participate in the tournament.
This years scholarship recipients were Corbitt Conyers and Sam Vanemburg of Batesville Schools and Will Sitkowski of Southside School.
The cash winners are as follows;
First Place – $1000 – Brustorm/Wright – five fish – 15.61 pounds
Second Place – $750 – Palidino/Floyd – five fish – 14.76 pounds
Third Place – $600 – Gilmore/Hambrick – three fish – 14.39 pounds
Fourth Place – $500 – Brunston/Height – five fish – 14.15 pounds
Fifth Place – $400 – Wooten/Watkins – five fish – 13.66 pounds
Big Bass – Lews Casting Combo – Palidino/Floyd – 5.36 pounds
Domino’s Big Bass Bonus Pot – $350 –Gilmore/Hambrick – 5.03 pounds
Prizes ranging from rod/reel combos to marine oil was given to participants from sixth thru twenty-sixth place. A rod/reel combo was also given to the youngest participating angler of the tournament.
