Eagle Mountain Elementary Principal Byron Difani (pictured above, left) and Steele Taylor (right) celebrated Hat Day and Grandparents Day at the Batesville school, Friday, Sept. 6.

Each Friday, Eagle Mountain students are allowed to wear their hats for the day with a $1 donation. The money goes to different charities each month. September’s cause is childhood cancer.

The school also celebrated Grandparents Day by inviting grandparents to visit the school and have cookies and drinks with their grandchildren. Over 900 delicious cookies were served by the parent-teacher organization parents that day. Nick and Alison Baxter (pictured below) celebrated Grandparents’ Day at school with their granddaughter, Eagle Mountain third-grader, Liv Baxter.
