Citizens Bank has promoted Aaron Herndon (pictured) to retail branch manager and consumer loan officer at the bank’s headquarters location in Batesville, according to a release from the bank.

Herndon will lead the retail operations at Citizens Bank’s headquarters facility in Batesville. He will guide the professional development of his retail team to meet and exceed customer expectations, as he also broadens his professional capabilities into the area of consumer lending, according to the release.

“Aaron consistently shines in performing his duties, regardless of the position he holds,” said Micah Beard, the north central Arkansas market president for Citizens Bank. “We are proud of his progression within Citizens Bank and are confident in his abilities to serve our customers and nurture the growing professionalism of his employees.”

Herndon joined Citizens Bank in 2006 as a teller and customer service representative and has held several positions of increasing responsibility, including retail manager at the bank’s Batesville Airport branch. In 2014, Herndon transitioned into the loan processing operations and served as loan assistant supervisor and market loan coordinator.

He earned an associate of applied science business services degree, with a banking and finance focus, from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. He also graduated from the Barret Graduate School of Banking and the Citizens Bank EDGE leadership program.

Herndon, who is a native of Cave City, lives in Batesville. He serves as a member of the Old Independence Regional Museum and has recently been named to the board of the Batesville Area Arts Council.
