The Citizens Bank Travel Club will host “Discover Greece and Its Islands,” a preview presentation for its prime 2020 travel adventure, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Independence Room at the Citizens Bank Headquarters, 655 South St. Louis Street in Batesville. The presentation is open to the public.
“In 2020, the Citizens Bank Travel Club will celebrate its fifth year of providing unique travel opportunities to bank customers and guests,” said Phil Baldwin CEO of Citizens Bank. “The Travel Club directs its activities to our customers and guests, and we continue to strive to exceed their expectations.”
“We are excited about this comprehensive 15-day journey through Greece, which will depart next May,” said Chuck Jones, Citizens Bank’s chief communications officer, who coordinates Travel Club activities with his wife, Sarah. “We will discover the magnificent ruins of ancient Greece, explore its most important ancient monuments, and even take a high-speed ferry across the brilliant Aegean Sea for a two-night stay on each of the spectacular Mediterranean islands of Mykonos and Santorini.”
The journey, which begins in the capital city of Athens, also includes Olympic Stadium, the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, the archeological site of Olympia, and ancient artifacts of Delphi.
Costs and other details about the trip to Greece will be covered during the presentation by a representative of Collette, a global tour company that offers travel to destinations across all seven continents.
“Although we are just now announcing our next spectacular international trip, reservations are already being taken,” Jones said. “We encourage everyone who is interested in exploring Greece with us to reserve their space now and don’t miss out on a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience.”
Each year, the Citizens Bank Travel Club offers a premium international trip and a premium domestic trip. Previous global trips have taken dozens of bank customers and guests to Ireland, the Canadian Rockies by train, and the Alpine countries of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Next month, 27 travelers will tour “Classic Italy by Rail.”
On the same trip this past spring, the Travel Club attended the award-winning musical, “Hamilton,” in Chicago, as well as took in the Holland Tulip Festival and stayed at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, both in Michigan.
In addition to the annual premium excursions, the Travel Club each month embarks on regional day trips and multi-day activities to enjoy plays, concerts, parks, museum exhibitions, and other events. The complete 2020 Citizens Bank Travel Club schedule will be released soon.
Space is limited for all Travel Club tours and events. For more information, contact Chuck Jones at Citizens Bank, (870) 698-6233 or email chuckj@thecitizensbank.net.
