Beka McCormick (pictured) with Batesville MOPs visited with Big Daddy Randy Alan at the White River Now family of radio stations about the suicide and mental health awareness march coming to Main Street in Batesville, Saturday, Sept. 14.

The MOPs acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers,” a group that began in 1973 when a group of moms of young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys, according to Mops.org. The Batesville MOPS is a ministry of Compass Church and is described on its Facebook page as “…a place where women can find community, a hot cup of coffee, and quality childcare all while creating a network of lasting friendships.”

Listen to Beka’s conversation with Randy below.
