Deadline approaching for proposals to further education growth in Independence County

The deadline is quickly approaching to submit proposals involving Independence County education efforts.

The Independence County Public Education Foundation is requesting proposals that align with their mission to further the county’s growth in education, and the last day to submit such proposals is Monday, Sept. 16.

The foundation has identified four main priorities: adaptation and continuation of the Independence Promise Scholarship Program, early childhood education, workforce education, and a community calendar with educational and leisure offerings to promote personal growth of residents.

The board of directors is seeking partnerships with community organizations to accomplish these goals aligned with the IMPACT Independence County strategic plan.

The requests for proposals (RFPs) can be found at under the Projects in Action tab. The proposals must be submitted to the foundation by Sept. 16, 2019 for consideration.
