The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) Foundation recognized 2019 scholarship recipients at a reception Sept. 19 in Independence Hall. The event provides an opportunity for scholarship founders to meet the recipients of the scholarships.
Ronnie Hughes, the UACCB 2019 Outstanding Alumni, was the guest speaker.
Hughes received the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship from the UACCB Foundation when he was a student. He shared how the educational foundation he received at UACCB had impacted his career and encouraged those in attendance to take advantage of all the resources the college offers them.
